About the show

Fragments of life, memory and absurdity played out at the piano. An hour of virtuosic piano playing, storytelling and improvisation, An improvising pianist's attempt to memorise a Bach masterpiece. As his mind wanders, so does the music – through stories, jazz, cinematic textures, even a nursery rhyme, before always finding its way back to Bach. Performed in the Pianodrome, the world's first amphitheatre made entirely from pianos, this is a unique Fringe experience. 'Combines epic musical improvisation, hilarity and intimate storytelling' (ThreeWeeks Editors' Award). 'This is what a pianist in the 21st century looks like' (List).
