About the show

Glasgow’s award-winning Mackintosh Choir (Patron Sir John Rutter) was established in 2011 and is based in St John’s-Renfield Church, Kelvindale, Glasgow. The choir is directed by Au Arias, a Glasgow-based composer originally from Argentina, and currently also musical director of the Anstruther Philharmonic choir. Premiered in Glasgow in 2024 to wide acclaim, Arias’s Tango Mass forms the principal work in this recital, together with the world premier of his newly composed Magnificat.
