About the show

Dr Claire Garabedian brings decades of experience as a cellist, certified music practitioner, educator, and postdoctoral researcher specialising in arts and dementia. Her work bridges performance, research and therapeutic practice, exploring music as a powerful vehicle for connection, particularly within marginalised and difficult-to-reach populations. Using research examples, anecdotes, live cello music, multimedia and audience engagement, Claire delivers a dynamic session offering fresh perspectives and practical, accessible ways to use music creatively in care and community settings. She has trained healthcare staff and families, presented on BBC Radio 4 and at the Hay.
