About the show

As a self-taught early music punk, Attila is honoured to have been invited back to the beautiful surroundings of St Cecilia's Hall for the fifth consecutive year to perform his Early Music Show with accompanist, brilliant Scottish singer/songwriter Calum Baird, on guitar. Attila plays crumhorn, rauschpfeife, cornamuse, five different recorders, violin and mandola. They'll be performing Attila's songs from his 2018 album Restoration Tragedy about the tumultuous events in England after the execution of Charles I in 1649. Tales of Levellers, Diggers and Ranters and Cromwell's destruction of their dreams for a better world.
